This policy covers this website and the private publishing tool behind the Bit by Bit News YouTube channel.
This website
This site has no accounts, forms, cookies or analytics of our own. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site, as described in GitHub's privacy statement.
The publishing tool and Google data
The tool is used only by the channel owner, on the owner's own channel. No other person signs in to it, and it does not collect data about viewers or other users. It uses YouTube API Services to:
- upload videos and set their details, captions, playlists, disclosure labels and privacy status;
- post comments from the channel on its own videos;
- read the channel's own analytics, such as views, watch time and subscribers gained, in aggregate;
- read public video titles, statistics and channel subscriber counts to see which topics are trending.
The sign-in token and this data are stored on the owner's computer. They are not sold or shared with anyone. Trend data is kept for up to 3 days. The owner can revoke the tool's access at any time from Google account permissions.
The tool's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
YouTube and Google
